MerciMercado Recipe Guacamole with Grasshoppers

    Guacamole is one of those perfect dishes for any occasion. This classical guacamole recipe is extremely easy to make, and we freshened it up with Merci Mercado adobo grasshoppers. This gourmet twist will make your guests go "Holy guacamole"!


    • 2 ripe avocados
    • 1 lime, fresh squeezed juice
    • 1/2 tsp salt, to taste
    • 1 jalapeño or 1 serrano chile, minced
    • 1/4 small onion, finely chopped
    • 1 medium size diced tomato (optional)
    • 1 tsp fresh oregano leaves, chopped
    • 2 tbsp cilantro, chopped
    • 1/4 cup Merci Mercado adobo grasshoppers 
    • Corn chips for serving
    1. Cut avocados in halves, remove the pit. Using a knife, score the flesh all the way to the skin. With a spoon, transfer the flesh into a bowl.
    2. Mash the avocado with a fork, until it’s even consistency but still has some chunks. Don’t overdo it! Season with lime juice and salt.
    3.Add chile, onion, tomato (optional) and oregano or cilantro. Mix evenly.
    4. Sprinkle generously with Merci Mercado adobo grasshoppers
    5. Serve with chips. Enjoy!
